  • About This Program

In partnership with the Youth Initiative of Race Matters for Juvenile Justice (RMJJ), our 3rd Annual Youth Explosion Summit highlights the voices, reflections, and talents of young people with collaborative art, networking, and community conversation.

This year's theme is CommYOUnity Building. Our focus includes creating a collective definition of community, understanding the importance of civic engagement, enhancing community awareness, and more.

This summit is a collection of programming that inspires students as they prepare to return to school. Participants in the summit will connect with community leaders and potential mentors, envision a thriving community together, and create artwork that celebrates their authentic selves.

Although it is for the entire family to enjoy, this summit is designed for middle and high-school-aged youth to shine by way of both artistic and activist expression, and for this reason, are especially encouraged to take part.

The summit includes small bites and special giveaways! All minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times while guests of the Gantt.
