About This Program
Join our partnered creative writing workshop as part of the Charlotte International Arts Festival (CIAF). Led by poets Jordan Bailey and Vanessa Hunter, participants will workshop short stories, poems, and think pieces that reflect the multi-layered theme of "space." Participants will have the opportunity to perform their work and receive feedback from peers and DJ Mina Marie curate sounds throughout the Wednesday Night Live experience.
These newly written pieces from the workshop are eligible for submission to the upcoming Of Earth And Sky city art installation. Per the CIAF website: “Poetry and text created by Charlotte poets through workshops and online submissions are curated and installed across dozens of sites throughout Charlotte, forming a temporary sculpture trail for the public to discover.”
