  • About This Program

On Wednesday, April 9, 5 pm to 9 pm, enjoy free access to three incredible museums — The Mint Museum, Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, and Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture — each featuring a lively atmosphere with DJs spinning tunes and cash bars offering drinks to enhance your experience. As you explore the exhibitions, immerse yourself in Charlotte's vibrant creative scene.

The excitement doesn't end there! From 9 pm to 10 pm, join the after party on Levine Avenue of the Arts, where music, drinks, and community vibes keep the energy flowing well into the evening.

At 6:30 pm, join us here at the Gantt for a Black line dancing class. Black line dancing, or soul/urban line dancing, is a form of line dancing that incorporates music genres such as funk, R&B, gospel, hip-hop, and contemporary pop. While learning and dancing to the classic and contemporary line dances, further explore the important history around line dancing and why it is an important cultural exchange for the southern Black community. Open to all backgrounds and experience levels. Led by dance instructors Deondria Dorsey and Justin Johnson.

Mark your calendar and join us for this vibrant celebration of Charlotte's artistic pulse — you won't want to miss it!

FOMO Night is presented in partnership with The Mint Museum, Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture, Charlotte Center City Partners, Charlotte Is Creative, BLKMRKT CLT, Sonorous Wave, and the Young Affiliates of the Mint.
