Nomad Sculpt: Intro to 3D Modeling

This workshop is an immersive and hands-on experience designed for artists, designers, and anyone curious about the exciting realm of 3D modeling. Nomad Sculpt is a powerful and intuitive 3D modeling software accessible on tablets, making it the perfect tool for both beginners and experienced artists to create 3D artworks on the go. Workshop participants will learn the basics of 3D modeling using Nomad Sculpt and unlock creativity to sculpt 3D masterpieces.

Many of my works derive from my childhood, as a child I grew up in a home filled with African/African American Art works from all over the world. I fondly remember my parents always finding interest in African masks and other African symbols of power like: African animal statues, Fertility figures and of course tons of African American paintings. I want to always honor my life experiences by sharing them through my works, bringing anyone who views them a sample of what molded my artistry. As I and technology has grown I now have taken many of these early influences and "modernized" them. I use various digital tools like Photoshop, Procreate, Blender, Nomad Sculpt amongst other programs to elevate and build upon the art works that influenced me. I think it is imperative to honor your ancestors, and that is my intention within all my works. We are all continuing a story, and I hope my works depict "African American Future"!
