  • About This Program

Celebrate Charlotte's emerging filmmakers and storytellers! Join us for an inspiring evening as Julius Chambers High School students showcase their original photography, and short films, capturing personal journeys, community challenges, victories, and dreams for the future.

Be among the first to experience a gallery of photos and documentaries created by students in the Gantt's EnVision Me program—a dynamic, culturally rich initiative designed to ignite student creativity through digital media art and project-based learning. Throughout the evening, students will present their personal narratives in short films developed during the EnVision Me semester.

Bring friends, family, and community members to support these talented young creators, followed by a reception to celebrate their achievements. Applaud the rising voices of Charlotte at the EnVision Me premiere, showcasing the powerful stories of our next generation of artists and changemakers!

  • About EnVision Me

EnVision Me is a 12-week project that uses the arts to empower and educate youth. The Gantt partners with area high schools to offer filmmaking instruction to a cohort of interested and invested students. The cohort learns every step of film production via a blend of virtual and on-site sessions.

Students have access to state-of-the-art equipment and educators to learn the basics of filmmaking, from scriptwriting and cinematography, to editing and film treatment. The course includes weekly hands-on sessions and homework assignments. The final product is a short film that the cohort premieres to family, friends, and the Charlotte community at the Gantt Center.
