The Gantt Center Mourns the Loss of Vivian Williams
It is with profound sadness that we announce the recent passing of former Afro-American Cultural Center board member Vivian Williams. Vivian was a staunch supporter of our institution and one of the founding members of the Center's auxiliary group, Friends of the Arts. With her leadership, the group organized the first Jazzy Christmas Luncheon, which, more than forty years later, continues as the Gantt Center's major annual fundraiser, Jazzy Holiday Gala. We are grateful for Vivian's vision. Through Jazzy, her legacy lives on.
