Assistance for Visitors with Disabilities
We are committed to offering inclusive experiences to people of all ages and abilities. Please see more information on accessibility or call our Visitor Experience team at (704) 547-3700.
Wheelchairs and Other Mobility Devices
ADA-accessible parking spaces are available in the Levine Center of the Arts parking garage. The garage is located across Tryon Street from the Gantt. The entrance to the garage is at 101 W. Brooklyn Village Avenue. Visitor parking is offered on levels P1 and P2.
All of the Gantt Center’s entrances are wheelchair accessible, and elevators provide access to every level of the building. Restrooms and water fountains throughout the Center are also wheelchair accessible.
A limited number of wheelchairs are available to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis. If you require a wheelchair during your visit, please let a Guest Services associate know when you arrive at the Museum Store or Guest Services Desk.
Service Animals
Service animals are welcome at the Center. Service animals must be trained to assist a person with a disability and must remain under the control of their handler at all times.
If a service animal becomes disruptive, poses a risk to staff or visitors, or comes into physical contact with artwork, the handler may be asked to remove the animal from the Center. Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy animals are not permitted.
Your support helps the Gantt present exceptional exhibitions, leading scholars and engaging programs that celebrate the African-American story.
