  • About This Program

Join us to learn more about the essential elements of Kwanzaa, the Nguzo Saba – The Seven Principles – and practical ways we can apply them to our family, community, nation and world. You will also participate in a Kwanzaa craft-making workshop!

Kwanzaa is observed from December 26 through January 1 and was created to celebrate African culture, uplift communities, enrich Black consciousness, and affirm the value of cultural knowledge and history.

Whether you’ve been practicing Kwanzaa for years or you’ve never joined in this national holiday, you will come away with some unique ideas for celebrating Kwanzaa in your home and keeping the flames of the seven candles burning in your community all year long.
